Mortgage lender predicts house price increase
Lloyds TSB which is the UK’s largest mortgage lender has announced that house prices will increase at the end of the year.
This encouraging news comes as experts are getting optimistic regarding the current economy and the stock market as the FTSE 100 is showing an increase during the first six months of this year.
Lloyds TSB first predicted that house prices would decrease by 15 per cent but now believe that the decline could be around 10 per cent.
Stephen Noakes from Lloyds commented: “I think we will only see about 10% to 12% falls this year. For the first time people are thinking that house prices will increase over the next 12 months.”
